ALAMOGORDO, N.M. — As the high desert air turns crisp and the town leans into fall, Alamogordo offers a weekend rich with culture, connection, and community spirit. From stirring chamber music to a haunted sleepover in the old county jail, here’s what’s happening across town from Friday, November 14 through Sunday, November 16, 2025.

Friday, November 14

Romantic Metamorphosis” Chamber Concert

The Nomad String Ensemble presents an intimate evening of classical music featuring works by Beethoven, Mendelssohn, and Schubert. Tickets are $25 and available at oteroarts.org.

Community Theatre of Alamogordo Presents: The Prince of Egypt – Opening Night

Flickinger Center for Performing Arts, 1110 New York Avenue

7:00 PM

This sweeping musical adaptation of the story of Moses features a cast of local performers, dramatic staging, and powerful vocals. Themes of freedom, faith, and destiny unfold in a production that celebrates community talent and storytelling. Tickets available at flickingercenter.com.
