Allen County Coroner identifies victim of deadly Piere’s Entertainment Center stabbing

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – The Allen County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim of a fatal stabbing at Piere’s Entertainment Center last week.

BACKGROUND: One dead, one hurt in stabbing at Piere’s Entertainment Center

According to FWPD, officers were called to the club just before 1:45 a.m. on Friday.

When police entered the club, they say they found a man who had been stabbed. Life-saving measures were attempted, however, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

On Monday, the coroner’s office identified the victim as 28-year-old Jermichael Lamarkeyes James of Fort Wayne.

James’s cause of death is stab wounds to the torso, and his manner of death has been ruled a homicide.

James’s death marks the 33rd Homicide in Allen County this year.
