Despite being credited as an executive producer on the feature adaptation of Freida McFadden’s 2022 novel, the Oscar nominee confessed she “didn’t do sh*t to make that movie” beyond her onscreen portrayal of Nina Winchester.
“Can I tell you something? I’m a producer on it,” she noted on The Graham Norton Show. “But I didn’t know until three weeks in, when I saw the call sheet, and I was like, ‘Executive producer? I didn’t sign up for that.’”
Seyfried said she then called a producer on the film, who informed her that her agent negotiated the credit on her behalf. “And I was like, ‘This really better be a hit.’ It was one of those vanity credits, ’cause I didn’t do sh*t to make that movie.
