Scotty McCreery will perform at the Stiefel Theatre on Jan. 30.
Tickets for the concert start at $59 and will go on sale at 10 a.m. Oct. 4, according to a community announcement and can be purchased in person at the Stiefel Theatre Box Office or online at stiefeltheatre.org.
McCreery, 31, rose to fame in 2011 when he became the first country artist and the youngest male artist to debut his first studio album, “Clear as Day,” at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart. Since then, he has sold more than 4 million albums and achieved six No. 1 hits, including “Cab in a Solo,” “Damn Strait,” “You Time,” “In Between,” “This is It” and “Five More Minutes.”
His latest album is “Rise & Fall.” McCreery’s current EP, “Scooter & Friends,” includes the track “Bottle Rockets,” featuring Hootie & The Blowfish.
The North Carolina native has received numerous accolades throughout his career. He won the 10th season of “American Idol” in 2011 at age 17 and was named the ACM New Artist of the Year the same year. McCreery has also won two CMT Music Awards, including Breakthrough Video of the Year for “The Trouble with Girls” in 2012 and Digital-First Performance of the Year for “It Matters to Her” in 2024.
In addition to his music achievements, McCreery has been recognized for his songwriting. He has received BMI Awards for writing one of the Top 50 Country Songs of the Year six times, including for “See You Tonight” in 2015, “Five More Minutes” in 2018, “This is It” in 2019, “In Between” in 2021, “You Time” in 2022 and “It Matters to Her” in 2024.
McCreery’s song “Five More Minutes” inspired two holiday movies that aired on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Network: “Five More Minutes” in 2021 and “Five More Minutes: Moments Like These” in 2022. He released his first book, “Go Big or Go Home: The Journey Toward the Dream,” in 2016.
In 2023, McCreery was inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame. Last year, he was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry by Josh Turner and Randy Travis, after being invited by Garth Brooks.
McCreery married his high school sweetheart, Gabi, in 2018. The couple welcomed their first son, Avery, in October 2022 and are expecting their second child in fall 2025.
