American Pickers star Mike Wolfe was spotted looking worse for wear as he stepped out to pick up groceries following a terrifying car crash that landed him in the hospital.
On Friday, Sept. 12, the American Pickers star and his girlfriend Leticia Cline were involved in a car accident in Columbia, Tennessee. A week post-incident, the antique aficionado was seen sporting bruises and scratches on his nose, a scab on his elbow, and a swollen left hand as he left Whole Foods.
During the outing, Mike was seen keeping a low profile, donning a light brown baseball cap and dark sunglasses for the errand run. The History Channel personality has since posted a series of photos after the harrowing crash, some showing him assisting his partner to walk again after she sustained severe injuries from the collision.
Mike detailed that the accident happened when a driver pulled out in front of him from a back road, and he couldn’t stop his vehicle in time to avoid the collision. The mishap took place while Mike was driving his girlfriend in a vintage blue Porsche 356.
In the wake of the accident, his girlfriend suffered multiple injuries including a broken jaw, broken ribs, sternum, collapsed lung, and swelling in her spine.
Following a car accident, Mike took to Instagram to update his followers on the situation. He shared, “Leticia and I were involved in a car accident last evening in Columbia, TN. By the grace of God, we’re both safe and okay. We are both receiving excellent care, and while Leticia is still in the hospital, she is expected to make a full recovery.”
He affectionately added, “I see you stronger in mind body and soul than I ever have before. That little girl that made her way thru so much adversity has become the woman that can conquer anything she puts her mind to do. I’m in love with you I’m proud of you and I stand with you. Please keep prayers and positive energy coming y’all she still has so much to go through and needs all the bright light you can spare.”
