Puerto Rican reggaeton artist Bad Bunny has been announced as the performer for the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show.
In addition to being one of the most streamed global artists, Bad Bunny has expanded his fame through recurring roles in television and appearances in films such as “Caught Stealing” and “Happy Gilmore 2.”
“The Halftime Show is the ultimate celebration of music and culture, and few artists embody that intersection more perfectly and authentically than Bad Bunny,” said Oliver Schusser, Apple’s Vice President of Music, Sports and Beats.
“As one of the most influential and streamed artists in the world, his unique ability to bridge genres, languages, and audiences makes him an exciting and natural choice to take the Super Bowl halftime stage.” said Jon Barker, SVP of Global Event Production for the NFL.
Prior to the announcement, The New Yorker called him “The most important pop musician of our time.”

Who chooses the Super Bowl halftime show performer?
The Super Bowl halftime show performer is chosen by the NFL in collaboration with the show’s producer, which, since 2023, has been Apple Music.
Jay-Z’s Roc Nation has been the NFL’s primary partner in curating and co-producing the halftime show since the league contracted the rapper’s company in 2023.
However, there have been times when the host city has suggested artists who might resonate with the local crowd and reflect the city’s brand, NPR reported.
The ‘Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show‘ will be produced by production company DPS along Roc Nation. Television and music producer Jesse Collins will serve as the show’sexecutive producers.
Roc Nation also serves as the strategic entertainment advisor of the live performance, the NFL announced.
