The BBC has announced the seventh and eighth celebrities who will be taking to the dance floor on the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing
Strictly Come Dancing has revealed the next two celebrities joining the eagerly-awaited 2025 line-up.
La Voix and Chris Robshaw were unveiled as the seventh and eighth stars for Strictly on Scott Mills’ BBC Radio 2 Show during Wednesday’s (13 August) programme.
Drag Race UK finalist La Voix, 45, and former England rugby captain Chris, 39, will step into the renowned ballroom when Strictly returns to BBC One and BBC iPlayer this September.
La Voix is an entertainer, presenter and vocalist who took part in the 2024 series of the BBC smash hit RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.
The entertainer is well-versed in television appearances following her roles on ITV’s Queens For The Night, Paramount’s Queen Of The Universe and even a cameo in Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie, reports Wales Online.
She also impressed the panel as a semi-finalist on Britain’s Got Talent, with judge Alesha Dixon describing her as “a force to be reckoned with”.
La Voix has additionally chatted with icons including Dawn French, Joanna Lumley, Su Pollard, and Vanessa Feltz on her programme La Voix Meets, whilst also entertaining the British Royal Family at their private New Year’s Eve celebration for two consecutive years.
Speaking about joining Strictly Come Dancing, La Voix says: “I’ve performed for royalty, RuPaul and Simon Cowell, but nothing fills me with more excitement (and quite a bit of terror) than the thought of dancing in front of millions on live Saturday night TV.
“Strictly is a national institution and I can’t wait to get started. All that’s left to say is: good luck to my partner! Here’s hoping they can help me go from La Voix into La Danse.”
Meanwhile, former England rugby captain Chris, who earned 66 caps for England and captained the national team 43 times, leading them to a Six Nations Grand Slam victory in 2016, is also joining the Strictly line-up.
On his participation, Chris commented: “This is about as far out of my comfort zone as it gets! I’m hoping to take my dad dancing to a whole new level, and my mum can’t wait to drag me along to her Zumba class. Let’s see if a rugby sidestep works in the Cha Cha Cha.”
The thrilling announcement was made on The Scott Mills Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2 this morning. The names of the remaining celebrity contestants joining the new series will be revealed in due course…
