Sir Paul McCartney has been spotted in a romantic embrace with his wife of 14 years during a luxury Caribbean getaway.
The Beatles legend, 83, and Nancy Shevell, 66, were pictured kissing as they took a dip in the ocean in St Barts, one of their preferred holiday destinations.
The happy couple later took a relaxed stroll along the shore as they soaked up the sunshine.
The couple tied the knot back in 2011 after first meeting in 2007. Shevell is the musician’s third wife: he was previously married to the late Linda McCartney and Heather Mills.
McCartney has five children from those relationships, while Shevell shares son Arlen with her ex-husband, Bruce Blakeman.
McCartney and the New York-based businesswoman met in the Hamptons and quickly hit it off, despite a 17-year age gap. A source told People at the time that the pair “are clearly well-suited, well-matched” and connected over their similar lifestyles, with neither wanting a “big social life”.
The notoriously private star briefly remarked upon his relationship in an interview with The Sunday Times the following year, declaring: “I just like being in love”.
McCartney and Shevell confirmed their engagement in May 2011 and wed during a simple, daytime ceremony at Old Marylebone Town Hall in London that October.
In 2023, the musician admitted that he tends to go overboard in spoiling his wife on Valentine’s Day, writing in a post on his website that he likes to “completely overdo” the celebrations.
“I mean, there’s not just one card, there are cards hidden around the room, and sometimes things even spill into the next day — it’s completely silly,” he said.
“If there’s an excuse to have some fun, I overdo it.”
McCartney added: “I try to be helpful as a husband too. If there’s a problem, I like to be the guy that will lend some strength to it.
“I’m always very happy to be the person Nancy relies on, and to be her strength when she goes through tough times.”
Last April, he also opened up about their “normal” life together, explaining that they just “chat and catch up with each other” every day.
“We eat lunch or dinner. Well, any meal really, as we love cooking,” he said.
“Sometimes we will watch something on TV together, and I always read before bed, usually a biography, while Nancy finishes watching a series. We’re pretty much like any other normal couple.”
