Lox the dog, destroyer of boxes and their contents, is at it again, and this time he has attacked Conrad Fisher of The Summer I Turned Pretty.
The beautiful red Bernedoodle, who’s often featured on his mom’s account, called @samispalter, is destroying things while his sweet sibling, Bagel, just watches.
Lox’s parents often come home to destroyed boxes, shoes, Italian cookbooks, and other things, and then call him out for his bad behavior, which he, of course, denies.
But this time, Lox may have gone too far.
He destroyed a box with a Conrad Fisher of The Summer I Turned Pretty calendar in it!
It is too much, Lox! And more importantly, are you Team Jeremiah?!
His parents ask him in the video point-blank if he destroyed the calendar.
He doesn’t say yes or no, but just stands quite close to the ripped calendar, which isn’t helping his case.
You are supposed to move away from the scene of the crime, Lox!
Then his dad asks if he ate the box the calendar was shipped in, in order to get the calendar? OK, so maybe Lox is Team Conrad after all.
Cut to Lox now cozy on the couch next to his sister Bagel, who usually plays no part in his mischief.
Clearly, she doesn’t feel as passionate about The Summer I Turned Pretty as him.
How To Tell If Your Dog Is Team Conrad
If you’re wondering what the heck Team Conrad is, then you may have been living under a rock.
Team Conrad refers to the character of Conrad Fisher from the hit Amazon Prime series The Summer I Turned Pretty, based on the bestselling book series by Jenny Han.
Conrad Fisher, played by Christopher Briney, is one of the main characters on the show, who is stuck in a love triangle with his brother, Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno) and his lifelong friend turned romantic paramour Belly Conklin (Lola Tung) .
The Summer I Turned Pretty is very popular, with its third and final season premiere this past summer attracting 25 million global viewers in the first week, a 40% increase from the previous season and triple the Season 1 audience.
And people, and dogs, are clearly interested in the stars of the show including Briney. The term “Where does Chris Briney live” is extremely searched on Google.
Even though the show is about teenagers who become young twentysomethings in the current day, it has been a hit with millennial women due to its nostalgic storytelling.
“The Summer I Turned Pretty is especially appealing to Gen X, millennials, and Gen Z because it’s tender, layered, and psychologically rich,” Deborah Robbins, a therapist who specializes in relationships and attachment, told Elle.com “It blends nostalgia, emotional intensity, and romantic fantasy in a way that taps into our earliest understandings of love and longing. Shows like Beverly Hills, 90210, Saved by the Bell, and My So-Called Life were the foremothers of this kind of love triangle storytelling. They laid the emotional blueprint, which is why we still find ourselves entangled in these dynamics decades later.”
Clearly that is what Lox is also drawn to about the show.
