“The White Locust twist not only affected the Big Brother house, it affected [my allies] The Judges and it affected me,” Will, 50, exclusively told Us Weekly on Friday, September 12, following his eviction. “It was unforeseen and it was very uncommon. It did what it’s supposed to do. It created chaos. It created mayhem and it affected the game tremendously.”

Will had not touched the block since the season 27 premiere. The former military man formed close relationships with his fellow houseguests. He joined The Judges alliance alongside Rachel Reilly, Ashley Hollis, Morgan Pope and Vince Panaro. The group had seized control of the game until Rachel was shockingly eliminated after failing to complete a puzzle in three and a half minutes.

“Rachel went from not being nominated in the house for eight weeks to being evicted, and that’s crazy. I go from being safe to nominated to gone,” he explained. “It’s a weird dynamic. And it happened … The White Locust scenario was bad for many, many reasons, but I would definitely be there if it didn’t happen.”

Will claimed that if the twist never happened, he and Rachel, 40, would still be in the game and taking out the game’s remaining comp beasts.

“Without a doubt, if Rachel did not get eliminated, we would not be having this conversation right now,” he told Us. “I [would] still [be] in the game. Rachel [would] be still in the game, and we will be plotting to get Keanu [Soto] or Lauren [Domingues] out of this game.”

Will was put on the block against Ashley and Morgan by Lauren. However, Morgan won the Power of Veto and secured her safety. Keanu was selected as the replacement. Before the eviction, the three players had one last chance at safety with the BB Blockbuster. The competition was a physical puzzle that involved untangling a rope wrapped around a luggage cart.

Despite having a chance in theory, Will knew once he saw that it was a physical competition, he had no chance at winning — especially while struggling with a calf injury.

“It was difficult. My calf still hurts. It hurts when I walk. It hurts when I step,” he shared. “And walking out to the blockbuster and seeing the ropes, I was like, ‘Bruh … this is crazy.’ For a dude who’s older with an injury, you’re giving me this right here.”

While Will tried his “best,” he is still feeling sore and making sure to keep his leg iced and wrapped.

“I continue to do all those different things, and stay off of it, and then it gets better. It’ll get better over time and just like any other injury that I’ve had in the past,” he said. “I’m just an older cat who’s trying to play to win competitions over young people half [my] age. So I do my best, and I did my best, and I’ll deal with the circumstances later.”

Now, Will is the second member of the jury and he’ll get to relax until the show’s finale on September 28. Once Will gets home, he plans on getting a “massive massage.”

“I don’t know what the longest massage you can get, but I’m gonna get a massive one when I get home,” he teased.

Big Brother airs on CBS Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays at 8 p.m. ET. Fans can watch live feeds from the house anytime on Paramount+.
