Taylor Swift releases new country-tinged song ‘I Knew It, I Knew You’ for ‘Toy Story 5’

So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.

BILLIE JOE & JAKOB ARMSTRONG – “HEROES” (DAVID BOWIE COVER)

THE STYLE COUNCIL – THE PARIS MATCH (WITH TRACEY THORN) (LONG VERSION)

One of the many previously unheard bonus tracks on the deluxe edition of The Style Council’s 1984 album Cafe Bleu is this long version of single “The Paris Match” which features Tracey Thorn of Everything But the Girl.

COMMON HOLLY – “DYSON”

Common Holly says her new single “Dyson” was influenced by Jonathan Richman. “I wrote it in about 5 minutes, sitting by the window, waiting for my Dyson,” she says. “I was thinking about Beckett and God and the dust in my house, about places where we wait— Montrealers will know all about the SAAQ, our finest purgatory!”

—

JUVENILE – “BBB” (ft. GENESISTHEGAWD)

Juvenile has announced a new album, Boiling Point, due March 26 via UTP/DNA Music Group/Hitmaker Distro, and along with the announcement comes the nostalgia-inducing “BBB.”

—

FRED AGAIN.. – “SCARED” (ft. YOUNG THUG)

HOLLY HUMBERSTONE – “TO LOVE SOMEBODY”

Alt-pop artist Holly Humberstone announced her sophomore LP, Cruel World, due out April 10 via Interscope. The lead single is “To Love Somebody,” which she says she wrote “after watching someone close to me go through a brutal heartbreak. It’s better to have loved and lost, even when it sucks, because feeling everything is part of the human experience. Loving hard is a painful thing and there are two sides to love and they exist in the same space to me. They are all real, brutal and vulnerable experiences. This blue and green ball just keeps spinning and you learn to ride things out.”

HOLDER – “INCONSOLABLE” & “RUIN THE BEST OF ME”

Western Mass post-hardcore band Holder have been making some noise in the hardcore scene lately and playing shows with the likes of Static Dress, Balmora, and Febuary, and now they’ve dropped this two-pack via DAZE. A press release says they take influence from bands like Neil Perry, This Day Forward, and early Underoath, and their vocalist Brie has exactly the kind of impassioned scream needed to make this stuff punch you right in the gut.

—

BELLA WHITE – “DREAM SONG”

Folk/Americana singer Bella White seems to be gearing up for a new album, and while we’re still waiting on concrete news about that, we did just get this alluring new single.

—

HARRY STYLES – “APERTURE”

Harry Styles’ new single “Aperture” is here, and after hearing it, it makes a lot of sense why he’s touring with dancey artists like Robyn, Jamie xx, and Fcukers. It’s a subdued, atmospheric, electronic indie pop song, and Harry actually said his new direction was inspired by seeing LCD Soundsystem live. “When you’re kind of watching them be so like immersed in it, I was, I think the inspiration from them came of like, ‘oh, that’s how I want to feel when I’m on stage,’” he said. “And then that kind of led to the kind of music I was making.”

—

THE SILVER – “TWO CANDLES”

The Silver (members of Horrendous and Crypt Sermon) have announced their second album and first in five years, Looking Glass Hymnal Blue. The first taste is the 9-minute “Two Candles,” which you can read more about here.
