It’s finally time for redemption. According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Mummy franchise is returning for a fourth movie, with Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz in talks to return.
This comes after the third movie, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, disappointed loyal fans to such an extent that they refuse to acknowledge it as a part of the franchise. With a 13% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a 30% audience approval score, Tomb of the Dragon Emperor was just not it.
Coming back to the fourth movie, THR reported that it is set to be directed by Radio Silence, Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett’s directing team, responsible for 2013’s Ready or Not.
