Britney Spears has broken her social media silence after she faced reports of “screaming” while at a Los Angeles restaurant.
On Thursday, Britney, 44, was accused of “screaming” and “barking” while she was enjoying dinner at Blue Dog Tavern in Sherman Oaks. It was also alleged by a TMZ source that Britney walked past a customer’s table while brandishing a knife.
In a quote tweet, he wrote, “She just left, and everyone in the restaurant turned and started talking about it. An INSANE dining experience. One diner feared for her life. This is not a joke….”
However, Britney’s spokesperson has since said the situation was “completely blown out of proportion,” as they stated, “Britney was enjoying a quiet dinner with her assistant and bodyguard.
“She was simply telling the story about how her dog was barking at the neighbors. At no point did she put anyone in danger with a knife. She was cutting her hamburger in half.
“This constant attack on everything that she does, and this is exactly what happened 20 years ago when the media tried to depict Britney as a bad person. This is ridiculous, and it needs to stop now.”
Following the alleged incident, Britney broke her social media silence by informing fans on Instagram that she was going to watch The Devil Wears Prada 2.
Starting the Reel with “What’s up, world?” Britney told her fans, “So, I’m about to go see Devil Wears Prada 2,” before joking, “I personally prefer Chanel or Gucci, but yo, if the devil says Prada, like I guess we should listen, right?”
The 44-year-old also told her followers about how excited she was to get buttered popcorn and a Slurpee, shouting, “Yes, man, yes,” as she discussed the cinema treats.
Britney spent some time in a rehabilitation facility after her arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol in Ventura, California, on March 4.
An insider has claimed that the mother of two is focused on her recovery and on spending time with her sons, Jayden James, 19, and Sean Preston, 20.
“Britney is doing very well, she feels great and is optimistic about her future,” they said.
The source continued to the Daily Mail, “She will continue to work on herself with counseling to be the best person she can be and really thrive in life.”
