Britney Spears is still the same woman fans have known and loved since the ’90s, according to her son Jayden James Federline.
During a livestream on social media on Friday, the 19-year-old addressed the internet rumor that his mother, 44, has been cloned, and that the woman fans see posting on Instagram today is not the same person who sang hits like “Stronger” and “I’m Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman.”
“I hop on TikTok and I see this one video that has 1.2 million likes, and the caption is like, ‘The biggest theory ever: Is Britney Spears still alive?'” he said in the video, per Us Weekly. “It makes me know that a lot of the stuff on media is exaggerated and fake. People know how gullible people are, and they use that to their advantage. Anyone that sees it on media, they just see it and if it has a lot of likes, they [believe] it. They don’t even research it, they’re just, ‘Wow, yeah, it’s crazy. I believe it.'”

The theory has been fueled by Spears’s erratic behavior on social media in recent years, such as posting videos of herself dancing with knives.
Page Six recalled that on her podcast in 2024, Kristin Cavallari revealed she is a believer in the conspiracy theory, saying, “That’s not Britney Spears [on social media]. I’m sorry, it’s not Britney Spears. Go look at photos! That’s not Britney Spears.”
