There is no bad blood between Calvin Harris and Miley Cyrus — despite what fans might think.
Harris, 41, teased the upcoming release of his song “Ocean,” a collaboration with Jessie Reyez, via TikTok earlier this month.
“Yes I love it #newmusic #ocean,” the musician captioned the clip. He overlaid the video of a speaker playing the song with text that read, “Love this sound!!!”
Fans were quick to recall that Harris previously teased the same song last year with Cyrus as a collaborator, but the track was never released.

Confused followers took to the comments section and asked the DJ for answers.
“WHAT HAPPENED TO THE ONE WITH MILEY?????” one TikTok user asked. Harris responded, “I dunno.”
A Cyrus fan account asked: “Any chance Miley’s version could still be released?”
Harris replied, “I’m afraid not,” without offering any further details. (Harris also responded to several hate comments with a thumbs up emoji.)
A third fan begged Harris to release the song “with Miley’s vocals,” but he reiterated it was “not possible.” When asked whether there was drama between him and Cyrus, Harris replied, “Absolutely not,” shutting down any feud rumors.
Reyez, 34, shared her excitement for the song’s release in the comments section.
“Ahhhhhhhhh,” the singer wrote. Harris “liked” the comment but did not respond.
Reyez did not react to any social media users who wrote about wanting the version with Cyrus’ vocals over hers. She shared a portion of the song in her own social media video.

“@calvinharris x @jessiereyez,” she captioned the Instagram upload, adding a yellow heart emoji.
Reyez was wearing a blue and red bikini top in the video as she mouthed along the words to the song.
“Sun is up, back to life, my eyes are open / And the last thing I remember was you holding me,” Reyez sang over Harris’ beat. “The fact that I still love you in the morning / Tells me that your body might be home for me.”
The lyrics of the chorus read, “We were dancing, we were wild in the ocean / When the crowd is all around me, you’re still all I see / And the way you lay me down and break me open / Tells me that your body might be home for me.”
Harris commented three siren emojis on Reyez’s post. Neither musician has revealed a release date for the song just yet.
