With a glamorous tribute to classic Hollywood, the star herself has transformed into Marilyn Monroe for a promotional video that draws its inspiration from the “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend” routine from Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.
The behind-the-scenes videos, shared on Instagram, showed Araujo wearing a bright pink strapless gown, opera gloves, and crystal accessories, standing on stage in front of red curtains, accompanied by tuxedo-clad dancers, treating the audience to a straight-to-cinema spectacle that Araujo called “definitely not trashy or low budget.”
She Said Forget Brands, I’ll Be the Brand
Rather than waiting for corporate calls, Araujo turned the tables.
“You guys know I’m not really brand-friendly, but I’ve always wanted to shoot a commercial,” she said. “So today I decided, well, I’m just gonna shoot my own commercial, pay for it myself, and promote me on you know where I’m promoting it,” she added.
With so much invested, both financially and otherwise, in her vision, she dared to pose not only as the star of her movie, but also as its CEO.
