Catherine Zeta-Jones has opened up about her decades-long relationship with Hollywood icon Michael Douglas, following reports that their romance was “rocky.” The Welsh actress made the fresh admission while promoting the second season of Netflix’s Wednesday, in which she portrays the feisty family matriarch Morticia Adams. The 55-year-old made a heart-warming admission about her personal life and revealed that she’s “happier than ever,” as she shared that her relationship with Michael is “in a really good place”.
Catherine even joked that her 24-year marriage has surpassed expectations and lasted longer than most in the industry, not known for marital stability. The star remarked: “It’s a joy, it’s a milestone, especially in this industry. And we haven’t tried to kill each other. I’m sure he’s tried… but he’s never succeeded.” This defies rumours that Catherine and Michael were having major marital problems; they were seen seemingly having a heated public argument at the Red Sea International Film Festival.
