
Celebrities seen in new Epstein files released by DOJ
The Justice Department released new files related to Jeffrey Epstein that show Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, Richard Branson and more.
The Augusta area has seen some major celebrity performances over the past year from Alice Cooper and Marlon Wayans to Randy Travis. Now as we look to the New Year, more are on the way.
Here’s a look at some of the biggest names coming to a theater near you:
Bert Kreischer
Sunday, Jan. 18
Comedian and podcast host Bert Kreischer will perform at the Bell Auditorium. Kreischer has two Showtime specials and four Netflix specials, with the last one being “Lucky” released in March. Tickets start at about $39 and are available at ticketmaster.com.
John Mulaney
Sunday, Feb. 15
Actor and comedian John Mulaney will perform at the Bell Auditorium. He has several projects on Netflix including his Emmy-winning specials “Baby J” and “Kid Gorgeous.” Tickets start at just under $100 and are available at ticketmaster.com.
Styx
Friday, Feb. 20
The rock band Styx will perform at the Bell Auditorium. They were particularly popular in the late 70’s and early 80’s with hits like “Renegade” and “Babe.” Tickets start at about $65 and are available at ticketmaster.com.
Amy Grant
Sunday, March 1
Augusta native and Christian pop singer Amy Grant will perform at the Miller Theater. She has six Grammy wins and has had particular success with holiday music, including “Grown-Up Christmas List” which has almost 32 million Spotify streams. Tickets start at about $35 and are available at etix.com.
CeCe Winans
Tuesday, March 31
Gospel singer CeCe Winans will perform at the Bell Auditorium. She has 17 Grammy wins, is on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and her live recording of “Goodness of God” has more than 106 million streams on Spotify. Tickets start at just over $176 at ticketmaster.com.
Earth, Wind and Fire
Saturday, April 25
R&B and funk group Earth, Wind & Fire will perform at the Bell Auditorium. Their most popular song is easily “September” and they are the winners of six Grammy awards plus a spot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Tickets start at just over $111 at ticketmaster.com.
Josh Gates
Saturday, May 2
Archaeologist and TV host Josh Gates will take the stage at Columbia County Performing Arts Center. Gates is particularly known for his work on Discovery’s “Expedition Unknown” which has over 200 episodes spanning 16 seasons. Tickets start at about $40 at ticketmaster.com.
Theresa Caputo
Sunday, May 3
Psychic and TV personality Theresa Caputo will take the stage at the Miller Theater. Caputo rose to prominence on her TLC show “Long Island Medium” which aired from 2011 to 2019. Tickets start at just over $61 at etix.com.
Weird Al Yankovic
Tuesday, June 2
Comedic musician “Weird Al” Yankovic will perform at the Bell Auditorium. He’s won five Grammy awards and is known for popular satirical songs like “Eat It” (based on Michael Jackson’s “Beat It”) and “Like a Surgeon” (based on Madonna’s “Like a Virgin). Daniel Tosh
Wednesday, Oct. 14
Comedian Daniel Tosh will perform at the Columbia County Performing Arts Center. Tosh has a handful of specials, including one on Netflix, but is known by many as the host of Comedy Central’s “Tosh.0” which ran for over 300 episodes spanning 12 seasons.
