Celebs Go Dating viewers were left completely blindsided this Friday (15 May) after recognising one of James Haskell’s blind dates from another iconic Channel 4 show. The unexpected crossover quickly sent social media into a frenzy as audiences realised James’ date Megan was actually a former child star from Supernanny.
Tonight’s episode saw relationship experts Paul C Brunson and Dr Tara continue encouraging James to confront his unresolved emotions surrounding his split from ex-wife Chloe Madeley. Anna Williamson was notably absent from the agency during the episode, leaving Paul and Dr Tara to guide the I’m A Celebrity star through a particularly emotional stage of his journey on the experiment.
During an honest conversation, James admitted he was still struggling to adapt to the break-up and his lingering feelings connected to his former marriage. James and Chloe first began dating in 2014 before later marrying and welcoming their daughter in 2022 after announcing the pregnancy publicly on Good Morning Britain.

However, the pair announced their separation in late 2023, with James later joining Celebs Go Dating in an attempt to move forward emotionally and rebuild his confidence in relationships. So far, though, the experiment has proven far from easy.
During this Friday’s episode, after encouraging him to do some deeper introspection, the agents set James up on a blind date – this time with Megan, who immediately stood out to longtime Channel 4 viewers for a very unexpected reason.
Throughout the date, Megan admitted she had experienced a difficult childhood and casually revealed she once appeared on a Supernanny episode as a child. That revelation instantly rang a bell for many TV fans.

Megan previously featured in a 2005 episode titled The Cooke Family, which centred around her behaviour as a nine-year-old girl living in Hertfordshire. At the time, she became one of the show’s most memorable children after clashing repeatedly with childcare expert Jo Frost during explosive tantrums and confrontations at home.
The episode remains particularly well remembered online thanks to one infamous moment involving Jo repeatedly telling Megan: “That’s unacceptable.” As soon as viewers connected the dots, social media imploded. “No way is that the “that’s unaseptable” “it’s unacceptable” girl?!?!” one viewer posted on X while the episode aired. Another joked: “You know you’re getting old when a former kid from Supernanny turns up on a show like this.” A third chimed in: “No way, it actually is what an icon, honestly!!!”

Even James himself appeared stunned by Megan’s admission during the dinner date. “So you were an ill-disciplined little nightmare?” he teased after hearing about her experience on TV as a child. Megan coyly replied, though she seemed more than willing to laugh at her younger self. “No,” she replied, “I think I was just… challenging”.
She also reassured James that she had since “mellowed out” considerably since her childhood TV days. Fortunately, the awkward revelation did not derail their evening. Despite the surprising connection to her past, the date ended positively with the pair sharing a kiss by the end of the episode. Afterwards, Megan spoke warmly about James, hinting at a potential future: “He is really genuinely lovely and it was really easy to have a conversation.”
Celebs Go Dating airs from Monday to Friday at 9pm on E4.
