Medics were forced to step in during the latest Celebrity Bake Off episode for Stand Up to Cancer
Celebrity Bake Off medics were called upon to intervene following one celebrity’s kitchen mishap during the programme’s latest episode in aid of Stand Up to Cancer.
The new series of Celebrity Bake Off made its debut this month, with a fresh guest judge taking her place in the tent. Earlier this year, it was announced that pastry chef Cherish Finden would be joining as judge for this charity series in support of Stand Up to Cancer.
The new judge is accompanied by Paul Hollywood and presenters Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding, with a fresh lineup of celebrities donning their aprons and taking their places at their makeshift workstations.

Tonight’s episode (Sunday, March 29) welcomed JoJo Siwa to the tent alongside Molly Mae Hague, Richard Herring and Babatunde Aléshé, as they were challenged with producing decorated traybakes and tarte tatin, while also recreating their childhood toys in biscuit form.
A strong opening round saw Molly Mae craft a carrot patch traybake, earning her a coveted handshake from judge Paul, who was visibly impressed, with Babatunde also receiving a handshake for his caramel traybake, reports Gloucestershire Live.
Richard produced an apple and pistachio traybake, while JoJo, who initially appeared to be struggling, rallied impressively with her rainbow confetti cake.
However, it was during the second round that medics were required to step in following one celebrity’s unfortunate kitchen mishap.
The Celebrity Bake Off contestants were tasked with crafting a tarte tatin, which required precise preparation with caramel, apples and puff pastry to achieve the ideal flavour and consistency. While the puff pastry was baking, comedian and writer Richard Herring found his preparations briefly interrupted after apparently cutting himself while slicing his apples.
Viewers could hear an “ouch” before the camera switched to Richard, who confirmed he had indeed injured himself. Alison Hammond quipped: “It’s all going off, the medics are in”, as a medical professional was spotted tending to Richard’s wound.
Richard responded: “I spill blood to win bake off.”
It wasn’t long before Richard, his finger sporting a plaster, returned to his baking alongside the other contestants as they all strived to impress the judges.
Following three demanding rounds, it was Molly Mae who was crowned the evening’s winner, exclaiming: “I’m so high up in the sky right now I could cry.”
Paul Hollywood revealed that the former Love Island star triumphed due to being the “most consistent” throughout all three challenges.
