Charli XCX has announced a range of listening parties, taking place in independent cinemas, for her new album Music, Fashion, Film.
The pop star is set to release her highly anticipated follow-up to 2024’s Brat later this month, with her already having revealed the singles ‘Rock Music’, ‘Wink Wink’, and ‘SS26’.
Fans have been gaining excitement ever since she unveiled the album and its star-studded cover, featuring John Cale, Marc Jacobs, and Martin Scorsese, last month.
Ahead of it hitting the shelves on July 24th, however, Charli is giving her audience to hear the new record in advance, with listening parties taking place in independent cinemas across 25 different cities this week.
The events, which are taking place between July 9th and 11th, will pop up in New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Miami, Santa Cruz, Phoenix, Seattle, Denver, Toronto, London, Manchester, São Paolo, Mexico City, Madrid, Milan, Brussels, Amsterdam, Dublin, Paris, Berlin, Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, and Tokyo.
Each listening party will take place inside an independent cinema, with the UK venues being confirmed as the Savoy Cinema Heaton Moor in Stockport, Manchester, and The Castle Cinema in London.
Those who don’t get the chance to attend the listening party have plenty more chances to hear the album, however, as after its official release on July 24th, Charli will be performing at a range of European festivals before heading out on a North American tour.
She will be headlining Reading and Leeds Festival in the UK on August 28th and 29th, respectively, before going Stateside on September 11th, where she will kick off the tour in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at the Xfinity Mobile Arena.
From there, the tour will head for various stops throughout September and October, most notably with the ‘Apple’ singer playing two nights at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on September 14th and 15th, followed similarly by two nights at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on October 17th and 18th.
Although a UK and European leg of the tour has not yet been revealed, Charli has promised her fans in other countries that more dates will be announced soon.
