Charli XCX is so cinematic that she’s all-around. The singer of “Party 4 U” disclosed that she is considering focusing on acting after a spate of recent cinematic endeavors, such as her soundtrack record for Wuthering Heights and her latest documentary The Moment.

Charli, 33, responded, “Yes, are you kidding? I want to quit music, babe, and act,” when Quenlin Blackwell asked her if she desired to “act more” on a recent Feeding Starving Celebrities episode.

Additionally, Quenlin, 25, joked, “What else is there to do?” after highlighting the Grammy winner’s 2024 album Brat’s popularity.

Charli, who married The 1975 drummer George Daniel in July, really mentioned that she posted a horror movie concept on TikTok in May, elaborating on what she called a “it-girl Final Destination.”

“We would be being killed by machinery or something like that,” she clarified. “And I feel like if it was an it-girl thing, all the deaths would be on the runway. I would probably die at some kind of a rave. You know what I mean?”

With the release of The Moment in January, which included cameos from Julia Fox and Kylie Jenner, Charli has already started to establish herself in the film industry. Additionally, she will collaborate with Jack Antonoff to write original songs for the upcoming psychological horror film Mother Mary, which stars Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, following producing an album inspired by Emerald Fennell’s period drama starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi.

“Film is where my creative brain seems to be gravitating,” in November, Charli posted something on her Substack. “I’m enjoying acting, I’m enjoying writing, I’m enjoying watching and I’m above all enjoying discovering a new craft.”

However, even if she characterized her most recent attempt at filmmaking as “really enriching and instinctual,” she continued, “Music is a limb I will probably never fully be able to cut from my body despite trying quite hard to do so at points.”

Fortunately for Charli, she can draw motivation from many vocalists who have transitioned into acting.
