Andrew Kolvet has urged Paramount+ to restore a South Park episode that mocked Charlie Kirk. The producer and close colleague of the late activist shared his remarks on X (formerly Twitter), recalling Kirk’s own reaction to the parody and emphasizing that he “would want the episode back up.”

Andrew Kolvet, executive producer of The Charlie Kirk Show, publicly called on Paramount+ to restore a recent South Park episode that parodied Charlie Kirk. “Hey @paramountplus, as someone who can speak with some authority on this, Charlie loved that he was featured in South Park,” Kolvet wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
“He told me many times. He would want the episode back up.” Kolvet issued his statement one week after a gunman fatally shot Kirk, 31, during a speech at Utah Valley University. Police arrested 22-year-old Tyler Robinson in connection with the killing.
The episode in question, “Got a Nut,” aired August 6, 2025, as part of Season 27. It featured Eric Cartman becoming a right-wing podcaster and parodied Kirk’s hairstyle, debate tactics, and public persona.
Although the episode remains available on Paramount+, Comedy Central removed it from its broadcast lineup after Kirk’s assassination. National File and other outlets noted the removal, while some online commenters criticized the decision.
Kirk himself reacted positively when the parody first aired. In an August interview with Fox News, he called the appearance a “badge of honor” and stated, “We as conservatives should be able to take a joke, we shouldn’t take ourselves so seriously – that’s something that the left has always done.”
He also shared a TikTok video describing the parody as “hilarious” and a form of “cultural domination.” “We have a good spirit about being made fun of,” Kirk said. “This is all a win. We as conservatives have thick skin, not thin skin, and you can make fun of us and it doesn’t matter.”
Meanwhile, South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone announced they delayed their next episode’s release, citing production timing. “We didn’t get it done in time,” they said in a statement. “Thanks to Comedy Central and South Park fans for being so understanding.
