Charlize Theron ditched her shirt for the red carpet premiere of her upcoming Netflix action thriller, Apex, in New York City
The actress wore a look by Dior consisting of an open blazer and a white pleated collar.

Charlize Theron is making a statement on the red carpet.
On Wednesday, April 22, the actress, 50, attended the New York City premiere of her upcoming Netflix action thriller, Apex, at the Paris Theatre while wearing an eye-catching look by Dior.
Theron, who has served as an ambassador for Dior for two decades as the face of J’adore fragrance, wore an unfastened Dior Winter 2026 black wool jacket with no shirt or bra underneath. She paired the top with trousers and a contrasting white pleated collar that featured dramatic ties draping past her waist.
She completed her look with Dior Fine Jewelry and a bold red lip.

In 2024, Theron became the first Dior ambassador for high jewelry and skin care.
“It’s exciting to start this chapter in a longstanding partnership with Dior. Over the past 20 years, it’s been an honor to collaborate creatively with the house as the face of J’adore,” Theron said in a statement at the time.
Her Dior premiere look is one of three ensembles Theron has worn so far to promote Apex.
The Odyssey actress shared content of her busy day in New York filled with press runs and tagged her designer looks on Instagram Stories.
For her first stop at the Today show, Theron wore a ribbed set by Alaïa. Her sleeveless high-neck fitted top was neatly tucked into a matching midi skirt with ruffled layers. Theron finished her look with mesh pumps strapped at her ankles.
Theron also wore a relaxed Bottega Veneta Fall 2026 set that also included a skirt before switching into an all-black look with a lace bra for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

In the film, Theron plays Sasha, a grieving woman seeking solace in the Australian wilderness only to become caught in a deadly game of cat and mouse with a serial killer (Taron Egerton).
While on the red carpet at the Apex premiere, Theron tells PEOPLE she was inspired by her character’s “tenacity” and “grit.”
“She’s resilient,” she says of Sasha. “She’s a true survivor. I think she’s scrappy and I like scrappy people.”

PEOPLE also spoke to Theron ahead of the New York premiere about how she combined extreme sports and fight choreography for the Baltasar Kormákur-directed action thriller.
“In this case, I was climbing a lot. I was climbing pretty much every day,” she told PEOPLE in December. “And when I got to Australia I was kayaking a lot. That’s a massive workout. I was just getting a strong as I could because I climb all of the actual mountains in the movie. I’m climbing all of it — and I’m climbing it barefoot on my own raw feet.”
Apex arrives on Netflix on Friday, April 24. She also plays the nymph Calypso in Christopher Nolan’s adaptation of The Odyssey, which hits theaters on July 17.
