Chilean gaming and hospitality company Dreams has commenced construction of a new entertainment and casino center in the city of Talca, marking a considerable investment in the Maule Region’s economic and tourism infrastructure. With a total projected investment of US$21 million, the development is scheduled to open in November 2026 following the completion of construction and commissioning phases.
The new facility will be located on the historic site of the former International Fair of Talca (Fital), covering an estimated 7,000 square meters. The complex is set to feature a range of amenities including a casino, retail outlets, a dining boulevard, a museum, an amphitheater, and dedicated areas for children’s activities, live shows, and conventions.
The architectural design for the project has been developed by National Architecture Award recipient Juan Sabbagh. The design prioritizes sustainability and includes the use of wood construction.
According to the company, the project is expected to generate more than 500 direct jobs during the construction phase. Once operational, the facility will provide long-term employment opportunities for hundreds of workers.
In addition to job creation, the center is projected to contribute approximately CLP 3.3 billion ($3.4 million) per year to the regional economy through taxes and associated services.
Dreams has partnered with the Autonomous University of Chile and the Chilean Chamber of Construction through an agreement signed in January. The initiative offers internship opportunities to students from local universities and technical high schools, integrating young professionals into a large-scale development project and exposing them to advanced construction and engineering standards.
“We are taking a decisive step with the launch of this project, which not only seeks to transform an iconic space in Talca but also to create opportunities for local talent. Through this macro agreement with educational and trade institutions, we want students to be a part of the process and find in Dreams a platform for learning and career advancement,” the company stated.
The project is positioned as part of a vision to elevate Talca’s status as a regional hub. According to Dreams, the entertainment center “aims to become a modern, inclusive, and sustainable urban space, enhancing Talca’s position as a regional capital with first-class infrastructure and national projection.”
Dreams currently operates a network of hotels, casinos, and spas in key cities across northern and southern Chile.
