Jeon So Mi, known for taking over the K-pop world with her solo songs as well as her time in the girl group I.O.I, is now entering her first project as an actor. According to recent reports, the idol has been confirmed for a new horror project, ‘Perfect Girl’. She’ll be joining stars from ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ and ‘Mortal Kombat 2’.
Jeon So Mi is to make her acting debut
As per Deadline reports, the idol is all set to join names like Arden Cho and Adeline Rudolph in an upcoming horror thriller film. As per the reports, the film has been described as “Scream meets Black Swan”. The film takes place in the competitive world of K-pop training and how trainees fight for the spot to debut, by all means necessary. The plot is described as “With only four spots available in the band and the final cut a week away, the competition is off the charts. When a talented and mysterious new girl is introduced at the last minute, things start to get strange — girls are being hunted and attacked one by one, but who is responsible for the carnage, and more importantly…who will make the final cut?”The film is going to be written by Lynn Q. Yu and directed by Hong Won Ki, who is responsible for films like ‘Urban Myths’ and ‘Goedam’. He is also known for directing a lot of music videos for K-pop idols such as KARD, PENTAGON, GFRIEND, Dreamcatcher, Mamamoo, Exid, CLC, 2PM, and SHINee.
