LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Sphere Entertainment is touting the success of its immersive adaptation of “The Wizard of Oz.”
The company announced Monday that more than 1 million tickets have been sold for “The Wizard of Oz at Sphere” in Las Vegas.
That’s generated over $130 million in ticket sales as of Friday, Oct. 17, according to a Sphere Entertainment news release.

The cinema classic starring Judy Garland opened at the venue in August. Sphere Entertainment says the original film was adapted to fit the high-resolution screen, and the score was re-recorded for new clarity on the sound system.
Haptic seats, environmental effects and custom scents are also included to “transport” audiences to the land of Oz.
