Circus Vargas will present its 2026 edition, called Masquerade!, June 12-22 under the Big Top at Earl Warren Showgrounds in Santa Barbara.
“Step into a world of wonder as mystery meets mastery, where every act pushes the limits and every moment captivates and ignites your imagination,” circus organizers said. “Join us for a spellbinding journey of pure artistry, and family fun.
“Because it offers a rare blend of wholesome, high-energy entertainment and classic American tradition that appeals across generations, Circus Vargas has managed to retain its popularity despite the existence of modern technology and social media,” organizers said.
“In an age dominated by screens and digital entertainment, Circus Vargas provides a live-action escape,” they said. “It’s an immersive experience where parents and children alike can disconnect from devices and connect with each other over shared gasps and laughter.”
Founded in California in 1969, Circus Vargas is one of the world’s biggest traveling circuses still operating under a traditional big top tent.
Now owned and operated by the seventh-generation circus performers Katya Arata Quiroga and Nelson Quiroga, the circus is known for its commitment to human artistry, family-friendly atmosphere, and new productions each year.
Tickets for Masquerade are on sale now. Pricing and seating locations vary, with options including VIP and ringside reserved seating. Ticket prices range from $25 to $90.
