Knoxville’s biggest country stars are taking on the 59th annual CMA Awards.
Morgan Wallen, Kelsea Ballerini and Kenny Chesney are all nominated for Country Music Association Awards, which are among the most prestigious titles a country artist can win.
All three singers grew up in Knoxville before taking the country music scene by storm. Wallen is one of the biggest names in the music industry right now, having won Entertainer of the Year at the 2024 CMA Awards.
Chesney has been a household name for decades and is a four-time Entertainer of the Year winner. He most recently held the title in 2008.
Ballerini is another Knoxville-native-turned-breakout-star. She was first nominated for “Best New Artist” in 2015 and has been nominated in a CMA category nearly every year since.
Chesney and Ballerini both will perform live at the CMA Awards this year. Here’s how to watch them sing onstage and see all of Knoxville’s own country stars at the award ceremony.

The award ceremony begins at 7 p.m. Central time and 8 p.m. Eastern time Nov. 19, according to the CMA website.
