SOUTH BEND — Colin Cutler, an award-winning singer-songwriter from North Carolina, will perform at 7 p.m. May 19 at Sound Bend Records, 115 S. Williams St.
Cutler is known for blending a variety of American folk music styles, from Appalachian old-time and blues to gospel, country and rock ‘n’ roll. His album “Tarwater,” inspired by Flannery O’Connor‘s short stories, reached the Top 20 on folk and alternative country charts, according to a press release.
In 2022, Cutler won the Susquehanna Folk Festival Emerging Artists Competition. He has performed across the U.S. and Canada, appearing at events such as Merlefest and the North Carolina Folk Festival.
Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
