Comic Relief 2026: Funny for Money
BBC One/iPlayer, 7pm
Having bid a definitive farewell to its irrepressible figurehead when Lenny Henry stepped down in 2024, the now-annual charitable beanfeast returns with the undeniable sense that it is some way past its best, even at its more condensed runtime of just three hours. Not that this should stop you giving, of course, so do dig deep to support charities both in the UK and around the world that are as deserving as ever. Shouldering the burden of the celebrity endurance challenge this year will be Greg James, arriving tonight in Edinburgh after a week cycling a tandem from Weymouth in the company of a few familiar faces.
Back in the BBC’s Salford studios, meanwhile, is a presenting team including Davina McCall, Joel Dommett, Nick Mohammed and Katherine Ryan, plus Catherine Tate wheeling out Nan once again. Among the sketches, music and surprise appearances, look out for a phalanx of Amandas in a one-off Amandaland, Dermot O’Leary joining Alison Hammond to “rob a bank” and a reprise for The Traitors: the Movie. A coda of Romesh Ranganathan wrangling six fellow comedians in The Weakest Link follows at 10pm on BBC Two.
The Rise of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers: Our Brother, Hillel

Deadloch
Amazon Prime Video
With its chalk-and-cheese pairing of detectives Dulcie Collins (Kate Box) and Eddie Redcliffe (Madeleine Sami) having struck a chord, Deadloch is back with the Aussie coppers’ plans to investigate Bushy’s death upended by a gruesome discovery in the Northern Territory. Broad comedy and neat police drama ensue.
Jury Duty Presents Company Retreat
Amazon Prime Video
The lightning-in-a-bottle brilliance of Jury Duty, in which an unwitting punter was surrounded by actors (including a game James Marsden as “himself”) playing out a script during a fake trial, is reprised with aplomb – and another glorious celebrity cameo. This time, newly hired temp Anthony attends a corporate retreat and finds himself in the middle of a “real-life” Succession.
Athletics: World Indoor Championships 2026
BBC Two/iPlayer, 9am & 5pm
Day one from Toruń in Poland, and the main British medal hope this evening will be reigning indoor champion Jeremiah Azu in the 60m, but expect Australia’s Lachlan Kennedy to push him hard. The morning will see action in the men’s heptathlon and women’s high jump.
The Claudia Winkleman Show
BBC One/iPlayer, 10.40pm
With stars of a lower wattage than Graham Norton might welcome in the same slot, Claudia Winkleman’s relatively gentle introduction to the chat show continues with motormouth comedian Guz Khan, former One Direction member Niall Horan and podcaster Joanne McNally sitting down for the gentlest of grillings.
