On Sept. 27, McGraw was headlining Y-Live at Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre in Wean Park when he invited couple Selena and Trent onstage, according to People. In front of thousands of cheering fans, Trent got down on one knee and asked Selena to marry him. She said yes, and the crowd erupted in applause.
The 58-year-old “Don’t Take the Girl” singer joined the emotional celebration, hugging the newly engaged couple and taking a selfie with them. Both Selena and Trent later shared videos of the proposal on TikTok, set to McGraw’s romantic duet with wife Faith Hill, “The Rest of Our Life.“

The ring Trent used carries deep meaning. Selena’s mother died of cancer in April, and when she was cremated, some of her ashes were placed into a ring that Selena wears every day. During the concert, Trent asked to hold the ring for safekeeping, then slipped away for the surprise proposal.
