Luke Bryan Talks About Getting Hit On Stage
In a recent interview on The Bobby Bones Show, Bryan recounted the incident and expressed frustration over how it was perceived.
“When I’m sitting there singing and I’m just doing my deal and it comes into my frame, obviously I flinched and it got me. But then the problem is that all of my family members and friends who don’t have social media couldn’t see what actually happened. Then the headlines said I got hit by a baseball.”

Bryan’s Message to Fans: “They’re Idiots”
When asked for his official take on fans throwing things during concerts, Bryan was blunt.
“People throw things at an artist, and they’re idiots. It’s the deterioration of the moral fabric of how your ass ought to act.”
He went on to say he feels lucky it was just a small ball this time, but that hasn’t always been the case. Bryan revealed he’s previously been hit in the face with an expensive cell phone, saying, “I got hit by an $1,100 cell phone.”
Fans Show Support
Fans were quick to back Bryan up in the comments, “Facts. Stop throwing stuff!!” said one fan. Another empathized, “I’m sorry honey, that was so messed up. Thank God you didn’t get hurt. Love ya so much.”
A Growing Problem at Live Concerts
Luke Bryan is far from the only artist who’s experienced dangerous crowd behavior:
Kelsea Ballerini was hit in the face during a 2023 show in Boise, Idaho, forcing her to briefly leave the stage.
Bebe Rexha suffered a black eye after being hit by a cell phone in New York City. The fan was later arrested.
Harry Styles flinched onstage after being struck during a concert in Vienna.
As these incidents continue to make headlines, Bryan and others are reminding fans that live shows should be about music, not mayhem.
