Daphne Joy has accepted a date with DJ Akademiks despite the fact the hip-hop media pundit hasn’t actually asked her out yet.
On Friday (June 19), just a couple weeks after being interviewed by Akademiks, Joy, who shares a 13-year-old son with 50 Cent, sat down for a chat with Cam Newton on his Funky Friday podcast.
Around the 1:10:00 mark of the video below, Joy eagerly told Newton that yes, she would go on a date with Ak. “It’s a, ‘I’m ready at 8:00 p.m. right now,'” she said.
Joy added that it’s “effort and energy” that appeals to her, although Newton doubted that Ak could pull it off, mainly based off how he looks.
“It’s not about the looks. It’s about how someone makes you feel,” Joy replied. “And I think, in a really crazy time, he interviewed me at one of my most, probably, emotionally vulnerable times and he made me laugh.”
Joy went on to deny that she has a type but explained that she gravitates towards those who can make her feel “really good inside.”
After telling Akademiks that she was “attracted” to his attraction to her, the OnlyFans influencer appeared on No Jumper and called the media personality “hilarious.”
“I told him, underneath all the vulgar words and the profanity, I definitely could see a man that was honestly attracted to me,” Joy told No Jumper host Adam22.
Joy’s media rounds come after she appeared in a leaked sex tape featuring Diddy and adult entertainer Sly Diggler, although she denies having consented to being filmed. The model also claimed that she was victim of a blackmail attempt before the tape circulated online.
