Dean Cain is switching up his path in law enforcement.
On Wednesday, August 6, the former Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman actor appeared on Fox News and spoke to Jesse Waters about joining U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement as an official ICE agent, following a recruitment video he posted on X for the organization one day prior.
“This is all your fault, by the way,” Cain, 59, jokingly told the news anchor, 47. “I’m actually a sworn deputy sheriff and a reserve police officer. I wasn’t part of ICE, but once I put that out there, and you put a little blurb on your show, it went crazy.”
“So now I’ve spoken with some of the officials over at ICE, and I will be sworn in as an ICE agent ASAP,” Cain revealed.
Watters asked whether the former Ripley’s Believe It or Not! host would be “hopping out of ICE vans and apprehending guys,” to which he responded, “I will do whatever director [Todd] Lyons wants me to do.”
“This is the kind of thing where people have to step up. I’m stepping up,” Cain remarked. “Hopefully, a whole bunch of other former officers and former ICE agents will step up and will meet those recruitment goals immediately and will help protect this country.”

Cain also shared that he became a police officer when “defund the police” was happening.
“This country was built on patriots stepping up, whether it was popular or not, and doing the right thing,” he continued. “I truly believe this is the right thing.”
Cain told Watters he was fulfilling the promise President Donald Trump made to the American people.
“We have a broken immigration system. Congress needs to fix it, but in the interim, President Trump ran on this,” he stated. “He is delivering on this. This is what people voted for. It’s what I voted for and he’s going to see it through, and I’ll do my part and help make sure it happens.”
