Developer Bart Blatstein has been demolishing part of Garden Pier and extending the reach of the Boardwalk in preparation for an “entertainment project” he plans to announce soon.
Blatstein, who owns the Showboat Resort Atlantic City, would not reveal details of the plan but said it is aimed at giving families something to do in Atlantic City.
Blatstein said he is not ready to announce details of his project but said it could capitalize on the closure of the former Wonderland amusement park on the Ocean City Boardwalk.
“While Ocean City is mourning the loss of Wonderland, we at Showboat are expanding the family-friendly market,” he said.
