Prices are on the rise for Disney’s streaming services, as the company joins such competitors as Apple and Netflix in hiking up its subscription costs.

Streaming costs have soared lately, with Apple, Peacock and Netflix all raising their subscription prices this year.

Beginning Oct. 21, the stand-alone Disney+ ad-supported plan will see a $2 increase to $11.99 per month, while the premium no-ads plan will increase by $3 to $18.99 per month, up from $15.99. If you’d rather pay for the year, customers will experience a $30 annual jump to $189.99 per year, Disney announced Tuesday.

A bundled plan that includes Disney+ and Hulu with ads will cost an extra $2, rising to $12.99 a month, while the ad-free subscription will run $19.99. The subscription offering Disney+, Hulu and ESPN Select with ads will jump from $16.99 per month to $19.99. Meanwhile, without ads, the subscription package will cost $29.99 a month, which is up from $26.99.

The packages with Disney+, Hulu and HBO Max will also both increase by $3 per month.

However, the NFL+ plans will remain at the same pricing.

Disney last raised prices for its packages in October 2024, with most plans increasing by $1 to $2.

The entertainment giant previously hinted a price increase on its third-quarter earnings call, saying that it expects a modest increase in Disney+ subscribers in its fourth fiscal quarter.

The price hike comes after the streaming company took a huge hit amid its handling of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” after Disney subsidiary ABC pulled the show off air last week over statements Kimmel made in the wake of Charlie Kirk’s death.
