During the Kennedy Center Honors announcement, Donald Trump shared that he was honoring actor Sylvester Stallone during the upcoming Kennedy Center Honors event.
As he announced that he would be honoring “great friend” Stallone, Trump couldn’t help but throw some shade as he called Stallone “one of the biggest names on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.”
He had to add, “The only one that is a bigger name on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is a guy named Donald Trump. I’m on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, too, if you can believe that one.”
Trump was given a star on the Walk of Fame in January 2007 for his work as a television personality on The Apprentice and Celebrity Apprentice.
Other nominees include rock band KISS, Broadway performer Michael Crawford, and LGBTQ+ singing icon Gloria Gaynor.
This isn’t the first time that Trump honored the Rocky actor, as he previously selected him and two other actors as Hollywood “ambassadors” earlier this year.
Stallone, Mel Gibson, and Jon Voight were picked to be Trump’s “eyes and ears” in Hollywood just days before Trump’s inauguration earlier this year. On Truth Social, the president posted, “It is my honor to announce Jon Voight, Mel Gibson, and Sylvester Stallone, to be Special Ambassadors to a great but very troubled place, Hollywood, California.”
“They will serve as Special Envoys to me for the purpose of bringing Hollywood, which has lost much business over the last four years to Foreign Countries, BACK-BIGGER, BETTER, AND STRONGER THAN EVER BEFORE!”

“These three very talented people will be my eyes and ears, and I will get done what they suggest. It will again be, like The United States of America itself, The Golden Age of Hollywood!” the post finished.
Stallone is best known for his role as Rocky Balboa in the Rocky film franchise and for starring as an action hero in Rambo and The Expendables.
As of writing, Stallone has not responded to the honor. In a speech given at Mar-a-Lago, Stallone compared Trump to his Rocky character and referred to him as a “mythical character” and the “second George Washington.”
