Duchess Sophie has been given a very fitting nickname by royal fans as she travels on a secret visit to the US. The 61-year-old travelled to New York City on Wednesday to undertake a solo visit for the UN Commission on the Status of Women.
The Duchess of Edinburgh is known for her continuous support for the monarchy and King Charles – with fans appearing to give Sophie a very fitting nickname that represents how much work she does for the Firm.
Along with details of her visit, one account commented: “PS: Does #SuperSophie ever rest?”
In response to the tweet, fans collectively gushed about how much they like “Super Sophie”. Another commented: “This Duchess is incredibly hardworking. Such a credit to crown & country!!!”
A third commented: “SuperSophie is fabulous and her work highlights many incredible causes [red-heart emoji].”
Known to be one of the most trustworthy royals, Sophie is also known to be incredibly close to King Charles.
Sophie also shares a close bond with the Prince and Princess of Wales, and is believed to have been a great support for them during Catherine’s cancer journey.
Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond previously told the Mirror: “I think Sophie has been able to offer Catherine a huge amount of advice over the years – not just about how to fit into this very elite family, but also about how to juggle a hectic working life with bringing up children.
“And I suspect that Sophie has been a great comfort to Catherine (and indeed to William) during the past very difficult 18 months.”
