Mia Robertson, the daughter of Jase Robertson and Missy Robertson, shared a shocking and scary update with fans in June. Shortly following her graduation from college, the Duck Dynasty star revealed that she had been living with a stalker for about a year.
“I’ve gone over how and if i wanted to share what’s been going on in my life this past year. i know i want to start and end this post by keeping it centered around how God uses everything in our lives for the good. even when we don’t understand what the good is yet,” she began her post on Instagram.
Mia revealed that she and her family discovered she had a stalker “a little over a year ago,” noting that “it pretty quickly went from 0 to 100 and i had to start my senior year of college going by a different name.”
She noted that this was particularly difficult, as her name “is something I am incredible proud of” because “it connects me with my beautiful God-fearing family, and our story of overcoming so many trials life threw our way.”
Mia said she was “full of anxiety and fear” when she heard her real name in public over the past year. “I lost joy, friends, grades, and confidence throughout this year, and i was unable to know if i would ever get that back,” she admitted.
The reality star said she chose to “surrender” to what was happening, which meant she no longer posted about where she went to school, what city she was in, or what restaurant she was eating at. This allowed her to “live [her] life again” without being controlled by “anxiety and fear.”
In early June, Mia got the call that “after over a year of being tormented by this person, he has been arrested, and is currently in jail.” She used her real name at a restaurant that same day.

Mia concluded, “I am posting this because i never really use my platform for things like this, but i probably should. if you are reading this and have been a victim of stalking, feel free to message me. you are not alone. if i had to go through this so you don’t have to, then it was all worth it in the end! TYJ I ask for continued prayers that he stays in jail so that I am able to continue my life in peace!!”
Just weeks after the confession, Mia spent the Fourth of July holiday with her family in Louisiana.
