ALBANY – The Barry Manilow concert at the MVP Arena on April 20 has been postponed.
“Due to doctor’s orders,” several Manilow shows on the “Last Concert” tour have been cancelled and are anticipated, at this point, to be rescheduled, according to an announcement on the MVP Arena’s page for the local Manilow event. New outlets are reporting postponements in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maine and North Carolina.
The next scheduled concert, according to Manilow’s website, is July 30 in South Carolina; the preceding shows are topped with “TBD.”
In December, Manilow, 82, announced doctors discovered stage-one lung cancer. He rescheduled his January tour dates to accommodate post-surgery recovery.
“We know this is not the news you were expecting, especially with the shows so close, and we truly appreciate your understanding,” the MVP Arena page continues. “We will update you as soon as the rescheduled dates become available. Thank you for your patience. We look forward to welcoming you to The Last Concert in Albany soon.”

Previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new Albany date, the arena said. The Manilow website shows Fan Club tickets for the Albany date, and many others that have since been postponed, have already sold out.
