Patricia Crowley, Dynasty icon and star of the 1960s NBC comedy Please Don’t Eat The Daisies, has passed away at the age of 91.

Her son, Jon Hookstratten, confirmed her death, telling fans she died on Sunday of natural causes in Los Angeles. She leaves behind her husband, Andy Friendly, whom she married in 1986.

Before her marriage to Friendly, Crowley was married to Ed Hookstratten, a renowned sports and entertainment attorney who represented big names like Elvis Presley, Johnny Carson, and Vin Scully.

Crowley is best remembered for her role as Joan Nash in Please Don’t Eat The Daisies, where she portrayed a newspaper writer and mother of four boisterous boys. The show, which aired for two seasons, featured the family living in a castle-like home with their giant sheepdog, Ladadog.

She also played the wife of Senator Buck Fallmont and the mom of Clay and Bart, Emily Fallmont, in Dynasty. Her 10-episode storyline focused on trying to keep the lid on a former affair that brought up questions surrounding the legitimacy of her son.

In addition to her role in Dynasty, Crowley also had notable roles in Forever Female and Money From Home. In Forever Female, she played Sally Carver alongside Ginger Rogers and William Holden, reports the Mirror.

Meanwhile, in Money From Home, she starred as Dr Autumn Claypool opposite Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis.

During her career, she earned the Golden Globe Award for New Star of the Year – Actress, for her performances in Forever Female and Money from Home.

Crowley’s extensive filmography also includes appearances in Red Garters, There’s Always Tomorrow, The Square Jungle, Walk the Proud Land, and The Wheeler Dealers.

In 1951, she took on the role of Judy Foster in A Date with Judy and made guest appearances in numerous television shows, including The Untouchables, The Lieutenant, Crossroads, The Alfred Hitchcock Hour, Riverboat, Rawhide, Wanted: Dead or Alive, and The Twilight Zone, among others. In 1961, she starred as Josie Thompson in 87th Precinct.

Beyond acting, she showcased her singing and dancing talents on The Dean Martin Show and made appearances on popular shows like Charlie’s Angels, Hawaii 5-0, Murder, She Wrote, Frasier, and Friends.

In the 2000s, Patricia graced the screens in The Bold and the Beautiful, The Closer, and Cold Case in 2009. Her final appearance was in the film Mont Reve in 2012.

Born in 1933 in Olyphant, Pennsylvania, to a coal miner, she moved to New York City with her older sister, who landed a role in the chorus of Oklahoma! on Broadway. She also attended the High School of Performing Arts.

During her senior year of high school, Patricia made her Broadway debut in 1950 as the lead in the comedy Southern Exposure.

She is survived by her husband and son, along with her daughter, Ann; son-in-law Robert; daughter-in-law Marion; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
