Ready for a franchise first? Alien: Earth—helmed by Noah Hawley (Fargo, Legion) with Ridley Scott in the corner—brings the Xenomorphs crashing down to Earth, literally.

Set in 2120, this prequel serves up a dystopian future dominated by five colossal mega-corporations, where human consciousness meets synthetic bodies. At the center? Wendy, a dying child whose mind now inhabits a synthetic adult—making her a living, breathing hybrid and the story’s beating heart.

The series will drop its first two episodes—”Neverland” and “Mr. October”—on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 8 pm ET / 5 pm PT on FX and Hulu in the U.S., then travel across the pond to Disney+ on August 13.

It’s not just horror with teeth—it’s horror with brain. Critics are giving the show well-earned praise for its smart approach to franchise lore and existential fear. Already sporting around 90-92% on Rotten Tomatoes, reviews highlight Hawley’s knack for marrying cerebral depth with creature terror.

So brace yourself—these are the monsters that come with a side of meaning.

How many episodes are in Alien: Earth?

Eight episodes, chopped neatly into a one-season arc that’s lean but suspense-packed.

We’re talking tight pacing from the get-go. The premiere gives you two episodes back-to-back to plunge into the action, then it’s one creeping, heart-stopper per week through September 23, when the finale “The Real Monsters” drops.

When do new Alien: Earth episodes come out?

Tuesdays—times two at first, and then one by one.

Aug 12, 2025 — Episodes 1 (“Neverland”) & 2 (“Mr. October”) land simultaneously.

Then, weekly on Tuesdays:

Ep 3 “Metamorphosis” — Aug 19

Ep 4 “Observation” — Aug 26

Ep 5 “Emergence” — Sep 2

Ep 6 “The Fly” — Sep 9

Ep 7 “In Space, No One” — Sep 16

Ep 8 “The Real Monsters” (finale) — Sep 23

In the U.S., you can watch each episode live on FX or stream it on Hulu—FX on Hulu makes horror binge-watching easy (and terrifying).

How to watch ‘Alien: Earth’s new episodes

U.S. fans: Catch the show live on FX, or stream it instantly via Hulu—all FX content is included in every Hulu plan, starting at $9.99/month.

Internationally: The series drops on Disney+, under the Star banner in regions like the UK, Canada, and Australia—hit checkmate on geographical limitations.
