Ellie-Jean Coffey Receives Death Threats Over Viral Video

Ellie-Jean Coffey, the one-time professional surfer turned adult content creator, has unwillingly stumbled into an intercontinental cauldron of controversy.

Coffey, 30, posted a video of herself urinating off the side of a boat, while crocodiles lurk nearby. She captioned the clip: “Every time I’ve gotta go…A CROCODILE POPS UP!!!!” Racy, yes, but not in the sense of her online subscription content platform.

The clip was then picked up by another Instagram account – @Swadesiofficial, which has since been deactivated – and they claimed, “American tourist seen pooping from boat into lake Udaipur!” That’s where the death threats came in. You see, the lake is considered holy. And such actions, well, unholy. But it turns out, Coffey was never even in India.

The clip comes from a lengthy boat trip, which Coffey, her brother, and father are taking in Australia.

“I started getting comments from people questioning whether I was in India but I didn’t know what was going on so I just left it,” she told news.com.au. “I’ve had people telling me I should be deported from India – and I’ve never even been there.”

But after she posted the video, according to Aussie news: “Less than a week later, her name and image was splashed across every social media platform and even the 6 o’clock news in India.

And that’s when the death threats, and calls for her deportation, began.

Doubling-down after the confusion started to bubble, Coffey took to social media again, posting a second clip relieving herself off the side of the boat, while captioning: “I’m setting the record straight: im Australian: this is the Aussie outback: IT WAS NOT IN INDIA.”

And lastly, Coffey needed to clarify another thing:

“I had to go to the bathroom – and it was only a number one, I want to make that clear.”
