EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — “Deaf President Now!” is an Emmy-nominated documentary that recounts the story of four students at the world’s leading Deaf university, as they led a revolution pushing for the school to appoint its first deaf president.
The movement marked a pivotal moment for Deaf rights and representation.
Not only is the film up for a best documentary Emmy, but it’s also making history with director Nyle DiMarco. He is the first deaf director ever nominated for an Emmy.
