Online collectible retailer Entertainment Earth has named John Louie as its new CEO after Billy Lagor announced his departure to join Hasbro as President of Toys & Games.
“Entertainment Earth has an incredible foundation of strong partnerships, a passionate team, highly-engaged consumers, and a reputation for reliability and trust across the industry,” Louie says. “I’m excited to build upon that foundation and help guide the company through its next phase of growth.”
Louie has more than 25 years of strategic global leadership experience across consumer products, licensing, entertainment, and digital commerce. His background includes franchise development, consumer products expansion, global retail strategy, and omnichannel growth.
“We believe Entertainment Earth is uniquely positioned for continued expansion, and John is the right leader for this moment,” says Matt Harvey, Executive Managing Director of PGIM and Chairman of the Board of Entertainment Earth. “His experience growing global businesses, developing talent, and navigating change gives us great confidence as we support our core fandom customer base and growing demand for content-inspired collectible and hobby categories.”
Louie previously served in senior executive positions at Warner Bros., Mattel, and The Walt Disney Co. He recently served as Chief of Staff and Head of Strategy and Business Transformation at Funko.
