The Essex Piano Trio is bringing its signature concert, “Conversation among Friends,” to the Parish Center for the Arts in Westford.
The performance is scheduled for 4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 18, at the 10 Lincoln St. venue, according to a community announcement. The trio, comprised of pianist Beverly Soll, violinist Ashley Offret and cellist David Cabral, plan to present a mix of classic and lesser-known chamber works in a recital-style setting.
Advance tickets range from $5 to $20 and are available at pcawestford.org. Doors will open 30 minutes before the concert. Direct ticket link is https://parisharts.square.site/product/1-18-26-essex-piano-trio/JZAI23LOXPOCI6N3N5VXJSZY.
Borrowed from a quotation by American biographer Catherine Bowen (1897-1973), who defined chamber music as “a conversation between friends,” this descriptive title relates strongly to the players’ approach to the music and to each other, according to the announcement.
The group’s members bring diverse backgrounds to their work: Soll, of Rockport, holds a DMA in piano and chamber music; Offret, of Salem, is a music historian and violinist; Cabral, of Lynn, is a cellist and chief echocardiographer at Boston Medical Center.
