Mumbai (Maharashtra): Following the high-intensity explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort on Monday evening, which claimed at least 12 lives, members of the film fraternity have expressed condolences to the victims and their families.
Actor Raveena Tandon described the incident as “horrible news” in a post on X. She wrote, “Condolences to all those bereaved families who lost their loved ones in the Delhi blast. Horrible news.”
Sonu Sood also reacted, expressing his grief for those affected. In an X post, he said, “My heart reaches out to everyone impacted by today’s tragic blast near the Red Fort in Delhi. Let’s support the victims, look out for each other, and commit to peace.”
The official social media handle of TVK Vijay shared condolences to the families of the deceased. The post read, “Deeply shocked and saddened by the news of car explosion near Red Fort Metro, Delhi that has claimed precious lives. My heartfelt condolences to the families who lost their loved ones. Wishing speedy recovery to all those injured.”
Actor Sidharth Malhotra offered support via his Instagram story, writing, “My heart goes out to everyone affected by the Red Fort blast. Delhi, stay strong and stay safe.”
Rajkummar Rao expressed that he was left heartbroken after hearing the news, while Riddhima Kapoor Sahni posted on Instagram, “My prayers for those who have lost their lives and their families and for those who are injured. Saddened at the Red Fort Blast, may they find the culprits and punish them severely. Prayers and more prayers.”
The blast occurred around 7 pm in a Hyundai i20 near a traffic signal between Gates 1 and 4 of the Red Fort Metro Station, raising security concerns across the national capital. Several people were injured alongside the eight fatalities reported.
