NEW YORK — Rock band Foreigner is celebrating their golden anniversary at the same destination millions of foreigners first came to when arriving in America.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Famers, known for timeless songs such as “Feels Like the First Time,” “Hot Blooded,” and “I Want to Know What Love Is,” has announced a “landmark performance” at Ellis Island in New York City on Sept. 6.
With the Statue of Liberty in the background, the New York City-formed band will perform a full set of classic rock hits at the historic site that was once the busiest immigrant processing station in the United States.
Only 250 fans will be allowed to attend the intimate concert, which will be filmed on a closed set for a forthcoming documentary.
Tickets are currently available to eligible Visa cardholders. The group is also giving away 10 pairs of free tickets on their social media channels. Winners will be selected at random on Aug. 29.
The “Cold As Ice” hitmakers’ 50th anniversary celebration will also see the world premiere of a jukebox musical based on Foreigner’s greatest hits.
Directed by “Rent” star Adam Pascal, “Feels Like The First Time — The Foreigner Musical” is scheduled to run April 17-26, 2026, at Long Island University.
