Former X-Men star James McAvoy has allegedly been assaulted while attending the ongoing Toronto International Film Festival. The actor, who played Professor Charles Xavier in X-Men: First Class and the rebooted X-Men franchise, is at the festival to premiere his new movie, California Schemin. However, just after the actor debuted the movie, he was reportedly attacked while at a bar with the film’s producers.
According to a new report from People, James McAvoy was sucker punched at a bar during the Toronto International Film Festival. The actor is believed to have only suffered minor injuries, if any at all, and “laughed off” the incident, choosing to stay at the bar after the attack.
